Al Pacino shows off Shrek phone case in viral video, shares sweet story behind it | Trending News - The Indian Express

Oct 16, 2024

Veteran Hollywood actor Al Pacino recently showed off his fun Shrek phone case while promoting his memoir, Sonny Boy. When BBC Correspondent Colin Paterson said, “Of all the things Al Pacino would have on his phone cover, I was not expecting Shrek,” Pacino laughed and shared how he got the case.

The actor, 84, said that his daughter, Olivia, had borrowed his phone and returned it with the Shrek case. Pacino remembered her words: “She said, ‘It’s Shrek, Dad!’ I said, ‘Shrek? Wow. Okay babe, I’ll hold onto it.’”

The video was posted on the BBC News Instagram account along with a caption that said, “Who would be expecting Shrek? Legendary actor Al Pacino has revealed his phone case is a collage of pictures of Shrek, all thanks to his youngest daughter.”

Responding to the post, one user wrote, “Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in.” An Al Pacino fan wrote, “Al Pacino for live-action Shrek.” A third user wrote, “A man of taste.”

Al Pacino has been using the Shrek phone case for over two years. It was initially spotted by fans in April, 2022 in a photo with Jason Momoa. It’s interesting to note that the Scarface actor was unaware of how much attention his phone case was receiving until it went viral.

While Al Pacino is famous for his roles in classic mobster films, his unexpected fondness for Shrek has surprisingly made him even more relatable to fans
