Busch Gardens names new coaster The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge

Oct 23, 2024

More than 30,000 votes were cast to name Busch Gardens’ latest roller coaster and the park settled on The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge.

Reminiscent of the fan-favorite Big Bad Wolf, which closed in 2009, The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge will be in the Octoberfest area of the park. Riders will dash through more than 2,500 feet of track at speeds up to 40 mph on the ride, which will officially be ready for guests in 2025.

The park said in a news release that The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge will “build upon a beloved attraction in the park’s history with a new twist.” Set in a Bavarian village preparing for the “Festival of the Silent Bells,” the ride takes guests across the German countryside through a celebration that has turned into chaos as the Big Bad Wolf returns.

“This attraction is unlike anything we’ve ever done before,” said Kevin Lembke, Busch Gardens Williamsburg Park president, in the release. “We’ve created an experience that combines storytelling with family-friendly thrills. Guests will feel completely immersed in the story of the Bavarian village, as the sound of screams and the echo of a howling wolf creates chaos in the familiar town.”
