Colorado Is Home To The Highest Looping Roller Coaster In The United States

Looking for a fun adventure in Colorado this summer? Sure, you could go on a hike, you could do some rafting, or you could go for a mountain bike ride. But why would you want to do any of that when you could ride the highest looping roller coaster in the United States?

The Defiance Roller Coaster, located at Colorado's Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, sits at 7,132 feet above sea level. It features a 102.3 degree freefall, the steepest available in the Western United States, a 111-foot banana roll, a 98-foot twisted top hat switch, and a 41-foot Zero-G heartline roll (I’m not going to act like I know what any of that is, but still).

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, just around an hour from Vail and a little under three hours from Denver. Other attractions at the park include laser tag, cave tours, an alpine coaster, the Glenwood Gondola, a zip ride, and so much more.
