Zamperla | new Family Coaster at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch | blooloop
Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, is celebrating the opening of its latest Family Coaster, Tim’s Runaway Grain Wagons, at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska, US.
The ride launched on 31 August ahead of the busy fall period, and has become one of the most popular attractions at the venue.
Tim Vala, founder of Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, says: “It was great working with the Zamperla team to develop our new ride area to celebrate our 40th anniversary.
“We are excited to integrate new rides in with our active play areas our guests have enjoyed for years. The kid’s coaster is a great fit for our demographics and we have seen a lot of smiles from it this year. It was fun to help develop a theme that worked going through an antique corn crib to stay with our story of a turn of the century farm.”
The Zamperla Family Coaster features brown paintwork and is housed in its own purpose-built barn.
Michael Coleman, North American sales manager at Zamperla, says: “Vala’s is a great partner for Zamperla due to the tight family dynamic and dedicated team members who all wore many hats to install and operate their first roller coaster. The coaster fits their family-first demographic perfectly and provides instant reliability during its first season. We are excited to play a small part in the continued success of a multi-generational family business who just celebrated their 40th season.”
The Family Coaster system was launched in 1999, and this year Zamperla is celebrating both the 25th anniversary of the model’s debut and the installation of more than 55 Family Coasters across six continents.
In addition, Zamplera was honoured with two awards for its Family Coaster at IAAPA Expo Europe. Jeepo Dino at La Récré des 3 Curés in France was highly commended in the Park Excellence Award’s Best Roller Coaster-Limited Budget category, and Papa Wutz’ Achterbahn at Peppa Pig Park in Germany received the European Star Award for Europe’s Best New Family Attraction.
Adam Sandy, roller coaster sales and marketing director, Zamperla, says: “We are thrilled that the Family Coaster still offers a great R.O.I. for our buyers. In addition, we are proud that two of our clients won these prestigious awards. It is a testament to the theming, placemaking and storytelling they did around the Family Coaster ride system. Our partners are the ones that make our rides exceptional.”
Last month, Zamperla revealed details of its partnership with Jora Vision for Bommelwereld, a new indoor theme park in the Netherlands. The park’s Zamperla rides will include a Gogo Bounze 6.4, a Rockin’ Tug, and a Mini Jet 6.
